Welcome to the KSBMB International Conference 2017!
I am very much honored to share with you the most up-dated scientific event under the theme on “Cooperative One Team for Life (COOL)” from May 17 to 19, 2017 at BEXCO in Busan, Korea.
The utmost priority of our conference is to provide a high quality scientific platform for knowledge sharing and collaborative networking to all the attendees and colleagues, which will eventually lead to a greater improvement in science and educational activities of our times. I sincerely hope that all the attendees will enjoy the conference in a cordial and stimulating environment and get to know each other more closely for future collaborations.
Since the merge of The Korean Society of Medical Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Korean Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2010, we have worked together with a common goal, the advancement and translation of knowledge in biochemistry and molecular biology. This year, we envision to bolster enthusiasm and passion in our members as we aim to satisfy the need for continued research across the spectrum of interests from basic bio-science to medical translation. This conference integrates various areas of expertise to enrich our knowledge in basic biochemistry and molecular biology. To complement our capacities we also promote publishing our two fine journals, Experimental & Molecular Medicine (EMM) and BMB Reports. With dedication to cutting edge research, we have leveled up EMM and BMB Reports into international renowned journals.
This year in plenary lectures, we will be hearing valuable insights from the world renowned two Novel Laureates, Dr. Timothy Hunt (2001 Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine) for discoveries of protein molecules that control the division of cells, Dr. Ada Yonath (2009 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry) for studies of the structure and function of the ribosome and distiguished plenary speakers, Dr. David Kimelman (developmental biology), Dr. Richard Kolodner (DNA repair), Dr. Gerard Evan (cancer biology). Dr. Gregory Verdine (chemical biology), Dr. Joseph Hill (heart-tissue regeneration), and Dr. V. Narry Kim (RNA biology). In addition, the conference will consist of 24 symposia and poster presentations together with the bio-exhibition of cutting-edge technologies and instruments, aming at sharing and discussion various ideas paving way for future better researches.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee of KSBMB International conference 2017, I sincerely hope all of you enjoy these exciting scientific contents and social networking. And for those visiting Korea, we hope you enjoy beautiful Korean culture and warm hispitality of Busan city.
I look forward to meeting you at the KSBMB international conference 2017.
